The Bike Pedaler

Our aim is to increase the number of cyclists on roads and pathways by making cycling more accessible to all. Marc Rickard is The Bike Pedaler.

He believes in the general “good” that is a bicycle. Bicycles are “green” in that they have a very small carbon footprint compared to other forms of transport. The Bike Pedaler will promote and source Canadian-made, and ethically produced bicycle products for local customers.

📣After just over a decade in business, The Bike Pedaler is closing the doors in Downtown Dartmouth. 📣

While it has not been an easy decision – it is a simple one. Marc and his family moved to the South Shore last summer during the beginnings of the housing crisis. Between the commute (60,000 km in 15 months), fuel costs, inflation, as well as time away from a new property and family; it is time to simplify. 🌊

The lease on Portland Street ends December 31st. The last day open will be Christmas Eve, December 24th. Watch for sale information in the coming days. 🔔

All warranties and warranty service will be honoured. The business will continue on a smaller scale with more personalized service primarily on the South Shore. Stay tuned for details. The website, phone number and email address will remain the same. 👏

We are sad to leave what has been built here in Downtown Dartmouth. We appreciate the support we have receive from customers and the community over the years. It has been a pleasure to serve everyone and we hope to continue a relationship with many of you as we create a new vision for the future. 🌟✨
