I like this a lot. I have sat in the same position many of times and felt the same.

A veces el taekwondo no se trata de medallas…
Se trata de los dĂ­as en que no querĂ­as venir, pero viniste.
De las lágrimas escondidas detrás del casco.
Del cansancio en las piernas… y aun así levantar la guardia.

El dojang se convierte en refugio.
El dobok en armadura.
Y el “¡sí, señor!” en una promesa de no rendirte.

Porque el taekwondo no solo forma campeones en el área…
Forma carácter cuando nadie está mirando.

Y eso… vale más que cualquier trofeo. 🥋✨

I like this.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but:

it’s OK to be a Taekwondo hobbyist.

Not everyone needs to compete.
Not everyone needs to teach.
Not everyone needs to train like they’re preparing for a world championship.

Some of us train because we enjoy the practice.
Some because it keeps us moving.
Some because it helps us think, breathe, and reset after a long day.

Taekwondo has always had room for people who walk the path quietly.

If you train once or twice a week and still care about Taekwondo, and about becoming a better version of yourself today than you were yesterday, that is more than enough.

Welcome Mr. Currie.

We would like to officially welcome Mr. Matt Currie, V Dan to the ITF Taekwon-Do Union Canada Association. Mr. Currie has been training in Chang Hon style Taekwon-Do for 30 years. He is the head instructor for his own school, Lonewolf Martial Arts in Saint John, New Brunswick and teaches dedicated ITFU Taekwon-Do classes.
