Joining us at the Halifax Celtic Festival is the Worthen School of Highland Dance.

For decades, the school has been dedicated to developing skilled dancers while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for Scottish culture and tradition. Their students have earned recognition at provincial and national competitions and continue to represent the strength of Highland dance in Nova Scotia.

Wonderful weekend at my 12th Annual Worthen Competition, 7th Annual Thistle Competition and 4th Annual Thistle Open Championship! Congratulations to all dancers and a special thank you to all of my volunteers! Also, thanks to our esteemed judges Kelly Abrahart, Fiona Lee and Elizabeth McCorkell and pipers Andrew Osborne and Matthew Phelps!
