Tonight we were lucky to have Aaron, a black belt from 101 Juijitsu Academy in Calgary, join us for a rolling session. All our athletes had an amazing opportunity to roll with such a knowledgeable athlete, giving them a chance to challenge themselves, grow and learn. We also got to watch some quality rolling between a black and brown belt. It’s always a pleasure to have talented individuals visit our gym and share their knowledge—especially when they stick around to help us after the rolls are over.

We’re getting ready for another season on the mats and have a few spots available in our kids’ classes!

Teddy Bears — Ages 3–4
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu — Ages 7–9 (only 3 spots left!)
Kickboxing — Ages 7–13
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu — Ages 10–13

Congrats Coach Meagan. Last night she earned the rank of 4th Kyu, her judo orange belt. Meagan has been one of our most dedicated Judokas. She has shown that hard work and consistency pay off. When asked she said “judo is highly technical but also incredibly efficient.” She says she loves learning another martial art and loves how well judo and jui jitsu can work together.

We look forward to seeing both Meagan and all our other judokas continue to level up and expand their knowledge.

Our MMA float was a huge success thank to our Excellence Foundation and our numerous volunteers. Thank you to all the parents, kids and coaches who pitched in to make this float happen.
