The Community Services Department (Parks & Recreation) has a host of programs and recreation facilities open to everyone:

The Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre hosts not only two swimming pools, but also a rock climbing wall, an indoor playground and access to the indoor Wayne & Bev Dahlen Walking Track. The Kin and Memorial Arenas offer public skate, drop in hockey and dry floor drop in programs after t

The City of Dawson Creek’s Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program is a great opportunity for youth to grow their confidence, develop leadership skills, and get involved in the community.

Open to youth aged 13–17, the program gives participants hands-on experience while learning about teamwork, communication, responsibility, and community involvement.

LIT participants will receive training, work alongside qualified staff, and have the opportunity to support programs and services within Community Services.

Accepted participants will receive full details on program days and schedules.
