Did you know that Halloween has it's part origin in Scotland? Originally celebrated as the pre-Christian Celtic Festival of Samhain (Gaelic pronouced "Sah-win").
It marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. Celebrations began on the evening of October 31st and extended into November 1st.
Scots brought these customs to North America, so it is only fitting that we blend Halloween and Scottish Highland Games together ๐ into KILT-ober.
Join us on Saturday October 3rd on 62 Ventura Drive. The athletics begin at 9am and with the BBQ, highland dance, kids events, etc. beginning at 11am. The event will continue all day until closing ceremonies at 5pm.
Bring a chair and we will see you there!
