We are so pleased to announce that Alyssa Borthwick has been awarded her Solo Seal — the Royal Academy of Dance’s highest examination achievement.

This is an incredible accomplishment, and we are beyond proud of Alyssa, who began her exam journey with Deas Island Dance as a young Primary student and now trains in our Extended Training Program. It has been such an honour to be part of Alyssa’s journey.

A heartfelt thank you to the teachers who have guided and supported Alyssa along the way — Ms. Janet Gittens for leading the way alongside Ms. Nicki Wood and Ms. Katie Parks. Thank you as well to Ms. Kelly Douglas for the additional coaching and guidance.

What an inspiring week with and - thank you both! Thank you to for your continued support and nurturing of young dancers and congrats to Alyssa and Olivia for receiving scholarships.

This is an incredible achievement and a true testament to the dedication, discipline, and artistry it takes to reach this level. We are so proud of the grace, strength, and confidence you brought to the stage. Well done on a truly beautiful performance — what a special moment to celebrate!
