May Couple’s Spotlight 🖤
Jeremy & Janie are such a great example of what support and partnership can look like. No matter the workout, the challenge, or the season of life, they continue to show up side by side with encouragement, positivity, and plenty of laughs. They push each other, support each other, and bring such a fun energy into the gym — we’re lucky to have these two as part of the CFD community ❤️
When asked who takes longer to get ready for the gym, Janie immediately answered “Jeremy” — although in his defence, she basically lives in gym clothes 😂
The movement they said best describes their relationship? Partner wall balls:
“You’re in it together, but if you don’t pay attention, you might get bonked on the head… things move quick.”
One of their favourite things about doing CrossFit together is having a shared community, always having a built-in partner for a WOD, and having someone to tell you to “go to the gym” on the days you really don’t want to.
When workouts get rough, Janie says Jeremy gives the better pep talks:
“Your brain tries to make your body quit before it’s actually done. Sometimes you just need a reminder that you’re tougher than you think you are… and Janie’s a tough cookie.” ❤️
Their funniest memories together include couples competitions at their old gym, where Janie apparently loved convincing Jeremy to wear ridiculous outfits — 80’s denim, all hot pink, you name it 😂
And when asked what he admires most about Janie, Jeremy said:
“I love how Janie is always smiling. Nothing keeps her down for long — life is for living 🙂”
Janie’s answer about Jeremy?
“Everything.”
Which Jeremy says “can’t possibly be true.” 🤔

✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT – ANNIE ROY-CHARLAND ✨
If you know the 6:45am crew, you know Annie. She’s been showing up for years—consistent, smiling, and ready to work (with coffee in hand, of course ☕️).
She inspires not only her kids, but everyone around her. The kind of person who leads by example, lifts the room, and somehow makes early mornings a little less painful!
And yes… the occasional coffee she sneaks to the coach hasn’t gone unnoticed 👀 (a little strategic sucking up—we respect it 😉).

• Favorite movement… and least favorite?
My favourite: Double unders, because I got them and I know that people want them. It’s unfair because I did rhythmic gymnastics elite and I went to the Canada games with jump rope.
My least favourite move is lunges. The end, they suck!

Muscle ups but that’s not original… sn**ch Renee’s PR weight is cooler I feel! My family is inspired by Renee. Al calls her Triple F; Fine, Forte, fabuleuse.
