Daily Announcements - Monday, September 14th, 2026

- The Junior girls' volleyball team was in Kindersley on Saturday. They went undefeated on the weekend, winning all 4 of their games on their way to winning the tournament. Congratulations, girls. Reminder, you have practice after school today. I hope you all brought your gym shoes back today.

- No Jr. Boys practice due to a staff meeting. If the Jr. Boys could come down to the office between the 1st and 2nd period to pick their jersey numbers, that would most excellent.

- Due to the rain again today, unfortunately cross country practice is cancelled. Runners are reminded that they should be running on their own time to complement the practices at the school.

- Tuesday’s Spirit Day theme is Summer Attire, so please wear your school appropriate summer gear as we give it one more hurrah before fall settles in

- Congratulations to the Sr girls vball team who captured bronze at the Loreburn RAVE on the weekend. It was a great start to our season, and we look forward to more to come for these ladies. A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Veikle for allowing us to take over her house for the night. Practice tomorrow.

- Next week we will be kicking off our first spirit week with some fun dress up days and DCS' signature waffle breakfast on Wednesday! Check out the posters around the school for more information! Monday is DCS Pride Day – so wear your Wildcats gear or something BLUE as we kick off a great spirit week!

- Congratulations to the junior girls' volleyball team. They took 2 sets from the LCBI grade 9 team last night at the rink. Thank you to Sam and Ty for reffing, Lucas, Meyer, Alex Gauthier as well as Layne and Alex Keeler for minor officiating and Mrs. Morrison for the excellent food in the canteen. The Junior Girls’ volleyball team will travel to Kindersley tomorrow for their first tournament of the year. Good luck, girls!

- Terry Fox Run on September 28th at 2pm. Pledge forms are with your home room teachers.

- We will have milk again starting Monday. It is $20 for a milk card or $1.25/milk. You can check with Mrs. Greuel over lunch to see if you still have a milk card! There will be both white and chocolate milk available.

- Hi-Flyer forms, School Supply Fee payments and Grade 6 and 8 Immunization forms can be dropped off at the office

- A little birdie told me that the Sr Girls are off to Loreburn for the Sr RAVE volleyball tournament this week-end. We know they will bump and set and have some fantastic serves this week-end and represent DCS with Wildcat Pride! Good luck girls!

Our Grade 7-10 PAA classes are hoping to make some pickles as one of their class assignments. We are looking for donations of pickling cucumbers and jars if possible. Please reach out to the school if you are able to help us out!

Daily Announcements - Thursday, September 10th, 2026

- The Junior and Senior girls' volleyball teams will be hosting LCBI after school today. Come cheer the girls on and enjoy some great food in Mrs. Morrison’s first canteen of the volleyball season!

- There will be XC practice today at noon with Mrs. Blumer

- With all the new students in the high school end, the SRC has made up a gym schedule at their meeting yesterday! Grades 6-9 will have access on odd days and grades 10-12 on even days!

- The SRC has come up with a fun incentive for Terry Fox fundraising. Everyone that raises more than $200 will have to opportunity to throw a pie in the face of a senior student and the person that fundraises the highest amount will have be able to do the same thing, but to our PRINCIPAL! Get fundraising everyone!

-Please ensure you hand in any Hi-Flyer forms, immunization forms (Grade 6 and 8) and Student Supply Fee payments are brought down to the office!
