Don’t forget to join us for our Barn Day and horse show on Saturday afternoon! Nova and I will be doing a little demonstration. We broke out the show bridle, and got some sliding plates on her back feet today, so we’re all geared up and ready to go! 😃🐴

A busy week preparing for our Summer Barn Day this Saturday! One big project is getting a fresh coat of paint on the arena rails. We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday! You won’t want to miss this!! 🐴🎉

We’ve been having some fantastic barn classes this summer! Today’s topic was horse parts, with practice on the real horses, and a funny game of “pin the part on the pony” with our cardboard horse.

I am so excited to welcome everyone on Saturday, August 29th for our grand opening at our new location! This will be an afternoon of family fun! If you are curious about what we do down here, interested in horses, or just looking for something to do, come on down to our horse show!

It’s been so nice to get some good rides on my girl lately!

Let’s be real, Nova has basically been off for 2 years now. I’m always amazed at how easily she comes back after some time off, and this time is no exception. That’s where training a solid foundation is key. If the basics in a horses training are taught well, they have the ability to come back easier from challenges like extended time off. We are two rides in, and aside from endurance and strength, Nova isn’t far off from where she was 2 years ago when I stepped away due to pregnancy.

Also friends, don’t forget to use the whole arena. 😉 Most of your training doesn’t happen along the rail!

As many of you know, Misty River Equine recently moved to a new location. This year’s summer end show is taking on a different feel as we welcome everyone to the barn for a grand opening/student horse show!

This event will be filled with fun for everyone, whether you are a lesson student, have an interest in horses, or are just looking for something to do! There will be a horse show to watch as our lesson students show off their hard work from the summer and a riding demonstration by Alli. There will be games, activities, door prizes a bake sale and more!

Free admission, and everyone is welcomed! 🐴
