By using force plates to measure maximum force (peak force) and comparing to a counter movement jump we can get a clear picture on what our athletes (RSI) relative strength index is and where they need to train to optimize their results!
👉Below 60%(RSI) aim for more explosive/plyometric training
👉between 60-80%(RSI) concurrent strength training is appropriate
👉above 80%(RSI) maximal strength training is appropriate
This is just one of hundreds of tests we can use to test and re test to see the short and long term trends of the adaptations we are trying to get!
