Not the result we came for, but still a result to be proud of.

Rafael stepped onto the mat, competed hard, and earned his place on the podium. But tournaments like this are about more than the medal around your neck. They expose the details, test your preparation, and show you exactly where the next level begins.

We leave this one with a bronze medal, more experience, and even more motivation.

Wishing the best of luck to Rafael Cortez and Coach Nic, who are off to Lima this week for the 2026 President’s Cup!

Rafael will step onto the international stage in the Junior -51 kg division, representing Twins Taekwondo and Canada.

Months of training, long hours, sacrifices and preparation all lead to moments like this.

Now it’s time to trust the work, embrace the experience and FIGHT.
