We have been busy with the van and camping in spots where we can ride. We have a battery system in the Westfalia but it is not set up for charging two E-bike batteries.

Powered sites to camp in ...for now.

in area and during June is booked.

We were in Bay camping as the Kennedy Lake fire broke out. We left after one day and the road had been closed to Port.... We were routed through Nitnat to Lake Cowichan logging roads.

It was a beautiful 3 hr drive through areas we had not seen.

I hope all are well and finding time to get out and RIDE.

Well today 4 years later ....I went back and revisited the ride or shall we say Bike Carry of the tour to Top bridge.....

We ran into some folks and I mentioned the day we tried to ride the path to Topridge with a group of folks on e-bikes.

They burst out and said "That was you. Do you have a Texada Island sticker on your battery?"

I replied that was me....

They said ..."I can't believe you guys were trying to ride on that trail!"

We are on the road again. New van and hand built beefy bike rack...we are headed to Pachena Bay a second time this year. Ucluelet is on the schedule as well.

Whoa...Time slips by Eh? Happy new year and I hope all are well and staying warm. Many obstacles have prevented us from organizing a group ride. The latest is a 1988 VW Westfalia.

We will soon be e-bike campers. My lastest project is a van bumper with a hitch for the bike rack.
Quite a heavy feat. The design will include a swing out arm for the bike rack to clear the back door of the van.

On the road soon😄.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on the trails and at the upcoming ebike group rides.
