The time to start cultivating real, tangible, loving relationships in your life is NOW. Your energy is sacred and people will either try to steal it or amplify it. Unfortunately from my experience the former is incredibly more common, but there are truly amazing people out there. Iβm not necessarily saying to look for them, if anything we shouldnβt be. Focus on you. Focus on being the person you want to find out in the world and the good ones will just come about naturally. Do good and good will be done to you π€π»β¨β€οΈβπ₯

Habits / Routines / Systems >>> Goals
Far too often we place emphasis on far reaching goals. Although goals are a fantastic way of starting a conversation around change, they are not conducive in fostering discipline.
Often individuals choose goals that are ambitious, but their systems and habits do not support the journey to obtaining those goals. It is so easy to get discouraged when we are chasing huge milestones without changing our daily habits
Since reading the novel Atomic Habits, Iβve realized I have placed far too much importance on the goals I have and not enough emphasis on developing good habits and systems that will get me to those goals.
Throughout my career as a personal trainer I have placed emphasis on goals. I break the goals down into SMART goals where we create a realistic timeline on obtaining success. As I grow and evolve my approach to training, I continue to encourage realistic goal setting, but in addition I also encourage my clients to develop habits and systems that will get them to that goal. Daily habits that are so small and systems that are so simple yet so effective when practised continually on a daily basis. Habits and systems are the key to obtaining our goals and far too often we ignore these crucial elements and place far too much emphasis on the goal itself.

THE POWER OF LISTENING π
Have you ever been in conversation with someone and felt like you are going no where? Chances are you most likely are not listening to each other.
I recently rediscovered my passion for social justice issues and speaking about them openly and honestly. It is very exciting, but through that excitement Iβve seen an anger arise. I find frustration when those who I love or are close to me do not see it from my lens.
My point here, if we want others to listen to us, we must first give others the opportunity to speak and be heard themselves. It seems quite obvious, but it is a skill many, including myself, need to work on. Many times we can learn from each other. Many times, others lived experiences have taught them lessons we have yet to learn.
Be open. Be fearless. Above all, listen. You may just learn something incredible.

So Iβve been super quiet on insta the last week or so because of exams but Iβm so excited to get back to putting out fun content that you can use to stay fit through lockdown. Expect lots of TikTok mini workouts and YouTube content!!! Bradford Fitness is growing every day and Iβm having so much fun working with my clients. Having the men and women I train constantly showing up every week is fueling my drive to make an impact on the fitness community. I want to encourage a healthy, balanced approach to working out and itβs so crazy to me the progress my clients and I have made.
Preparing for another spicy week of one to one workouts, and I couldnβt be more excited!!!
