My wife’s ability to out fish me this season is just wrong. Took her out for a little pike fishing off shore this morning managed a handful around 24” but my wife landed a good one. Pic of the one in the water is the average size we caught

Ok now that I am home and had some rest

Had a good trip to NW Ontario chasing musky. The wife and I fished 3 different lakes mostly from our kayaks over 6 days. We caught some musky but nothing crazy. Fish were stay shallow this trip

My ability to fail at landing musky this trip was down right impressive 🙄. Everything from musky simply throwing the hook to jumping out of the net after popping the hooks took place. I definitely was not on my A game 😂

On a positive note the new “Slim“ paddle tail preformed very well. This was by far getting the most action in 2 of the lakes we fished.

Second was the “Riot” tail spin. This was the answer for the one lake where I was running it shallow over weeds

With the fish being shallow and having to rely on the figure 8 at the kayak these were the best options

Part of my wife’s fish were caught on lures I didn’t make. She kinda fell in love with top water after catching her Tiger well out with Glenn

Some pics didn’t turn out so not going to post those. They were smaller musky anyway. Add in a nice walleye that was bycatch tossing a “Slim”

Overall great trip minus breaking my rod but luckily my wife had a back up spinning out fit to finish the trip

Packing my bags and starting the 1 1/2 day drive to NW Ontario for some musky fishing on the 5th. If it’s anything like last trip WiFi will be meh at best so if I don’t respond to anyone’s messages that is why.

Been busy filling the wife and I’s tackle boxes for a week of chasing musky. Even had to break down and make a few ugly bucktails from random parts for personal use 😂
