🚨Aquatic Centre Opening Update🚨

Due to impacts from Friday’s power outage, the Ricochet Oil Corp Aquatic Centre will remain closed Sunday and Monday and will reopen as originally scheduled on Tuesday.

While we were excited to welcome everyone back a little earlier than planned, facility and pool temperatures have not yet returned to the appropriate operating range. We want to ensure the facility is fully ready and comfortable for our patrons before reopening.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday!

💦 We are pleased to announce that the Ricochet Oil Corp Aquatic Centre will be reopening early at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26. 💦

This early reopening is a direct result of the hard work, dedication, and adaptability of our staff and maintenance teams throughout the shutdown. Their collaboration allowed us to complete significant work throughout the facility while also improving our procedures for future shutdowns and pool dump-and-fills.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved for their commitment and teamwork in getting the facility ready ahead of schedule.

We look forward to welcoming the community back to the RAC on Saturday!

💦Aquatic Centre Shutdown Update – Week One💦

After our first week of shutdown, we’re happy to report that work is progressing well and we remain on schedule.

Our pools have now been successfully drained, and our team is hard at work thoroughly cleaning and preparing the basins. This includes scrubbing and acid washing, along with much-needed tile and grout repairs throughout the pool deck, showers, and steam room.

We’re also taking advantage of the shutdown to complete important maintenance on the steam room, patch and repair walls, repaint areas of the facility, and tackle a number of other projects that are difficult to complete while we’re open.

This week’s heavy rainfall presented some unexpected challenges, but our team adapted quickly and kept the shutdown work moving forward.

Even with the weather throwing us a curveball, we’re on pace, on schedule, and making great progress.

A big thank you to our staff and everyone involved in the shutdown work. There is a lot happening behind the scenes to maintain and improve the facility for our community.

We’ll continue sharing updates as the work progresses!
