Did you know THSD offers Musical Theatre classes?

Students develop their skills in singing, acting, and movement. Have a child that loves to sing? Check out these classes. Our Intermediate class is geared to students in Grade 9-12, providing your teen a great opportunity to build confidence, and perform with their peers.

Last season our intermediate class performed at the Drumheller Performing Arts festival, which was a highlight for the group! We would love to have your teen join our team for the 2026/27 season!

Acro is always a popular choice for our dancers. Our acro classes are almost full already! Current availability:

Mini Acro (Ages 5-7) - Monday's 7:00 - 7:45 - 3 spots left
Junior Acro (Ages 8-13) - Mondays 7:45 - 8:45 - 2 spots left

Huge shout out to Rhonda L. Gillrie for organizing “Dancing from the Heart” that provided us the opportunity to dance for charity and donate.

To our dancy friends in the area DFTH takes place in Stettler. They run 2 events in the spring. If you’re interested in getting in on one of their events for 2027, let me know, I’ll pass along an email contact.

A few weeks ago Tricia Hatch School of Dance made a surprise visit to the shelter to deliver a cheque for $600! They competed in a dance competition and won money for a charity, and chose Drumheller Humane Society 😁

We receive no government funding and rely fully on donations from our supporters, so to receive a surprise walk in donation like this totally made our day. Spaying, neutering and feeding our animals sure adds up, and every dollar donated makes a difference.

Throw back to May when THSD attended Dance Rage Festival with What an amazing weekend, with some break through performances!

Along with receiving Bronze, Silver, Gold or High Gold, each section's top score was awarded "Outstanding", each group section a Choreography Award, and depending on the size of the section an additional Most Promising or Adjudicators Choice.

Many of our solo and duet pieces were recognized with Outstanding, Most Promising & Adjudicators Choice Awards as well.

Top Awards:

All the Lonely People was selected for the Dance Off, and received Top Choreography of the Festival
Drew Hatch was awarded a Full Scholarship to The Base Dance Intensive

We LOVE dancing in Camrose, on the big stage, the beautiful facility, and alongside such high quality dancers - both in technique, artistry, and kind humans. This art form really can support one another and we sure felt that at Dance Rage!

Our regular season may be over, but we've got one last performance, right here in Drumheller!

This weekend is Catch Dance Productions Championship event. Want to see some of these performances one last time before they're retired? We have a number of groups, solos and duets performing one last time! Come on down to the BCF. All THSD dances take place on Saturday June 6.
