Water samples have been sent off for testing, Island Water Hauling and Vancouver Island Phresh Water Inc have been working daily to fill the reservoir. Once the reservoir is at an attainable level and samples come back clear, we will be able to allow for (limited) hygienic use.

When we are ready to connect back to the pipeline with the District of Ucluelet, we will then commence another round of flushing and testing (in the week to come).

The Cixʷatin Centre will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. For any assistance on water refills or booking the shower at the West Coast Motel, call (250) 726-7342.

Ucluelet First Nation could be without potable water for over a week after barge damages line | CBC News The First Nation has declared a state of emergency and told residents not to drink or cook with the water, bathe in it, or even use it for cleaning. Potable water is being trucked in until repairs are made.
