The biggest & most brilliant managers in football have all suffered HEAVY DEFEATS at one time or the other. That didn't suddenly make them BAD MANAGERS.

A very difficult first half for the Super Eagles. Here's the nitty-gritty 👇

1️⃣ MIDFIELD
We've lost control of the middle and handed Guinea-Bissau the tempo of the game.

Verdict: No need for a substitution here just yet.

2️⃣ WINGBACKS
Neither wingback has been able to get out of our half and stretch Guinea-Bissau's back four. In the second half, at least one of them must push on consistently and ask questions of their backline.

Verdict: Preferably Osayi-Samuel, while Bruno Onyemaechi sits back to keep a back three and an eye on the very dangerous Franculino Djú.

3️⃣ FRONT TWO
Heavy touches and no hold-up play to bring the wingbacks and other attackers into dangerous pockets of space.

He'd probably retire as one ..
As long as he's active in a club ..
South Africa or India... he'll get the job done.

'Rumors' are flying around about a change of guard in goal vs Guinea-Bissau. I doubt it. I strongly do. I'll be shocked if that happens.

While ALL 3 goalie options are more than capable to do a good job, and can be trusted—I mean, it's been a while we've had as much depth in goal, yet, there just seems to be something uniquely special about Nwabali that words can't comprehensively explain.
