More to come soon. Perseverating on Jasper. It’s a lot to digest. I just couldn’t quite post a bunch of happy hiking photos when so many people and friends (and wildlife) are dealing with so much. Will get around to it in a bit, just not quite right now 💛

Alberta has mountains and dessert… with tiny cactuses! Don’t let one catch you by surprise though while trying to climb a bluff. It hurts. A lot. 🥹

I recently learned through a work project that this yellow shrub my mom had on our acreage growing up is called Shrubby Cinquefoil 🙌. I don’t ever recall her telling me it had such a fancy name (and I knew every single flower she had… it was one of my jobs to tend the gardens) 😅

Regardless, Shrubby Cinquefoil is lovely and its pretty yellow flowers look even more striking against the turquoise blue of a mountain lake. I now know its secret alter ego name and I’ll be on the lookout for it in the future 🧐

Cannot wait to be back out in nature again 💛🙌
