Another snap from the past. We might be posting more of these, as it seems to be well liked by you all.

30 years ago, the ASA President Glen Gillis and McMurray Sno-Drifters Club President Dan Gould present the 25th anniversary cake. This was at the 1996 Fort Mcmurray Jamboree.

Planning a fishing trip this summer?

Before you head out, make sure you review the 2026 Alberta Guide to Sportfishing Regulations and the latest regulations for the waterbody you plan to fish, as rules can vary by location.

You are responsible for understanding and following the regulations that apply to where you are fishing. Check online for in-season regulation changes, angler advisories and time of day angling restrictions.

Remember that being able to correctly identify any fish you catch is essential – if you don’t know, let it go.

Last week the ASA President Addam Saruk, ASA Director Monte Turre and ASA Executive Director travelled to the International Snowmobile Congress (ISC) in Omaha last week. There they attended meetings with the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO) , met with counterparts from American and Canadian snowmobile organizations, attended the ISC, met with snowmobile and groomer manufacturers, and had meetings with the International Association of Snowmobile Administrators (IASA). IT was a very busy week.
