Quick PSA…
🥊 It is better to start your fitness journey today than to wait until January
🥊 Most programs provided by personal trainers or holistic coaches that are targeted towards hormones or cycle syncing are scams and/or predatory.
🥊 Halloween candy isn’t “calorie free” like you joke it is, but you should still eat it anyways if you like it.
🥊 The majority of regular gym goers are incredibly friendly, approachable and kind despite how intimidating they may look.
Kthxbye

Quick PSA📣
🥊 You don’t need another diet after your summer travelling and vacations
🥊 You probably need to eat more fibre.
🥊 The workout that will get you the best results is the one you actually enjoy doing.
🥊 Lifting weights will always be a weight loss hack for longevity.
Kthxbye.💙

Quick PSA📣
🥊eating fats doesn’t make you fat
🥊 you can’t target fat loss
🥊 a 10 minute workout still counts.

You know what pi**es me off?🤬
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How Body Positivity didn’t really exist for Millennials while we were growing up.😣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We grew up in a world where it was hard to feel like you were good enough.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even on those days where your make up slayed and your outfit was on point.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You would still think….
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Am I skinny enough?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are my thighs too big?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is going on with my double chin today?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And God forbid you were “too skinny”.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There was just no pleasing other people, our families, or ourselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We weren’t really taught to love our bodies.🥴
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead we were surrounded by weird diets and magazines calling beautiful women obese. Like. WUT?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s no wonder we are all now adults that struggle DAILY with Body Dysmorphia and have no idea how to love our bodies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is why I LOVE Fitness.💪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Becoming active, going to the gym, and lifting weights has changed my perception of myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💙I’ve learned how to love my body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💙I’ve learned how to take care of my body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💙I’ve learned that my body is capable of incredible things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Screw what magazines tell me I should look like.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know I am strong. I know I am capable.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And even on those days where I feel insecure about my body….
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can focus on the amazing progress I’ve made and how much healthier I am now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I can help you feel that way too.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Screw Body Dysmorphia. You are Enough.💯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let me help you learn to workout in a way that brings you confidence in your body and enriches your life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let’s feel strong, beautiful, and amazing together.😍

So you’ve hit a plateau in your fitness progress eh?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😒Whether it be the scale hasn’t moved in a while…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😒Or you haven’t be able to progress your weights…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😒Or you are finding yourself getting tired faster than usual…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ve been consistent. You’ve been crushing your goals.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But you’ve stopped seeing progress.😤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, what gives?🧐
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ve likely hit your first (or 2nd or 3rd or 4th) plateau.🙃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fear not. Plateaus happen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, there are many different reasons you may be experience a plateau, some of the most common culprits include:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❌Not Enough Weights, Too Much Cardio
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❌Stress
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❌Lack of Recovery/Rest Time
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❌Not Eating Enough
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Plateaus can be discouraging.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But remember – whether your goal is weight loss, fat loss, muscle growth, or anything fitness related – It is NOT going to be a linear process.📉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Questions about any of the plateau culprits above? DM me and let’s chat it out.

Does this sound like you?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I tried to start working out SO MANY times before I became consistent.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For Real Ya’ll🙃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It took me 2 entire years of barely trying before I really got going.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I knew I wanted to lose weight.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I knew I was unhappy, uncomfortable, insecure.😫
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I felt incredible out of shape and unsure of my body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, what was holding me back from moving my body more?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s a simple but complicated answer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ready for it?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wasn’t ready to take action yet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s it.😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wanted to. I WISHED I would. I wished so many times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨I wished I had more motivation. I wished I was more confident.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨I wished I knew what I was doing. I wished for magic foods that would help.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But there is no single magic trick or food or habit that was going to solve my problem for me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was 100% on me.😤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And once I realized that – I was ready to stop looking for “short cuts” and ready to find an active solution that worked for me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, this is your reminder to take action for the things you want. No matter what they are.💯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can wish all you want (and trust me – I still love wishing for things), but if you really want something – you need to take the leap.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pick just one thing. Whether it be increasing your steps, going to the gym, drinking more water, getting more sleep, eating more fruits and veggies. Pick one thing that will insight action towards your wishes and goals.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You got this.💙

Raise your hand…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
if you have or still are feeling personally victimized by 90’s and early 2000’s diet culture.🙋♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Between the media, reality tv, weird food guides, the fear of eggs, and the promotion of low-calorie foods….
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s no wonder that as adults we have…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🫠Complicated relationships with food
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🫠Complicated relationships with our bodies
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🫠Crippling Body Dysmorphia.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We were raised in a world where it was okay to talk about other people’s bodies.🥴
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A world where it was nearly impossible NOT to compare yourself to other peoples.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, I am here to remind you that you ARE enough. And that you don’t need to compare your body or progress to anybody else.💕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But if you want some help to find the confidence in your body that you have been seeking your entire life…. I got you.💙
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨If you want some help navigating your fitness journey to find strength and feel more “functional” in your body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨If you want some help to learn and build habits that bring you consistency… I got you.

Story Time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The other day on my stories I shared a post by talking about teaching yourself to do hard things. And how repeating the affirmation of “I can do hard things” to myself daily has had such a profound impact on my life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well here is one of my favourite examples of just that...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am a pool kinda gal. I don’t do open water. I like to see the bottom. I like to know its clean. I like to be able to easily get in and out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We were in Hawaii a few months ago touring some of the LOST filming locations and we found ourselves at Waimea Falls. It was a short and easy hike that ends with a pretty stunning waterfall that you can actually swim into.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let me tell y’all....at first it was a hard “hell no” for going in the water. You had to climb over cold, slippery rocks to even get to the water and then had to take a leap of faith off said rocks to jump in. PASS.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it was SO cool and I really wanted the experience of doing this with my fave human. So I repeated internally to myself “I can do hard things” over and over again.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And in I went.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did I almost have a full blown panic attack upon impact? Yes. Yes I did. Did my fave human help me through it and together we got to experience an unforgettable moment? Also yes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Does this have anything to do with my fitness journey? Yes, but not super directly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Going to the gym, lifting heavy weights, running a half marathon, signing up for different workout classes - all of these experiences were TERRIFYING at first.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But they have all gone on to help me reinforce to myself that I can do hard things. I can do scary practical exams. I can talk in front of a large crowd. I can learn to use the weird machines at the gym. And I can jump into a pool of water in Hawaii.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And so can you. You are capable of so much more than you think. You just have to believe in yourself and try.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because you can also do hard things.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk

5km run today with my favorite human.💙
Thank you for this year’s Consent Event. This event means a lot to me for reasons that are hard to put into words.
Grateful to have running alongside me to help raise some awareness and find community in this weird world.
