WELCOME!! We’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so we thought we’d do a quick introduction post.
RFA is a relatively new division of Edmonton Ringette. We are a specialty program for children with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Through an inclusive, safe, and fun environment, RFA players will learn the fundamentals of the sport as well as develop life skills that will benefit them in and out of the rink.
Players aged 5-18 are welcome to register! Can’t skate - no problem! Not sure what ringette is - we’ll show you! From “learn to skate” to ringette skill development - we will coach all players at their level and provide one on one coaching if needed.
All of our coaches and jr coaches/buddies have completed training specific to athletes with disabilities, so your child is in good hands!
Practices take place once a week, Sundays at 9:30am at Callingwood Arena.
Have questions? Feel free to DM us or email them to [email protected].
Again, welcome to RFA and we cannot wait to see you at the rink!

We are looking for Kids and Youth with a disability for an awesome project!
The Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) and the Centre for Accessible Sport and Play are working together to better understand the barriers and facilitators to participation in sport for kids and youth with a disability. The Goal of this project is to identify the gaps and opportunities to improve programing - this will hopefully lead to MORE SPORT OPPORTUNITIES for Kids with a disability : )
We are looking for Canadians of all ages and disability types who have started participating in sport or physical activity programs within the last 5 years to participate in this project - if you are interested to find out more email: [email protected]
Please share far and wide!
