Festival Weekend Food Tent – each shift needs 8 -10 people to serve food.

Heritage Festival Student Scholarship: Volunteers registered in a post-secondary school between January 1 and December 31 are eligible for random scholarship draws.

Scandinavian Heritage Society Scholarship: Volunteers registered in any Scandinavian studies course at the University of Alberta or Augustana between January 1 and December 31 are eligible for a random draw for two $250 scholarships. One entry per shift.

The Bikenbender returns on September 12, 2026, for its 3rd edition in Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area.

Matthew from Camrose will be skiing the Birken the coming days! Coincidently he is staying over at the home of a Norwegian Birken Board Member and in for a real treat. Ofcourse he is fully prepared with these cute backpacks. More photos to come… Thank you Matthew and hopefully your skis arrive from Paris.
