Based in NE Edmonton, the Pirates are the oldest club in the ERU. We offer competitive and fun rugby teams and programs for all ages and experiences.
The Edmonton Rugby Football Club (The Pirates) is the oldest club in the ERU, having been established in 1953. We offer rugby programs for men, women, and youth and are always looking for new players, with or without rugby experience. We offer a fun, social environment for players and supporters, so come on out to a game and see what rugby with the Pirates is all about!

We might’ve spoken too soon…
Today’s Senior Women’s match against the Rockers has been postponed.
Turns out the City of Edmonton wasn’t quite as enthusiastic about 30 people turning a muddy field into an even muddier field, and has closed fields due to conditions.
Stay tuned for the rescheduled date and kickoff time.

The Senior Women are gearing up today for what may be the rainiest rugby game day in club history.
Grab your raincoat, your umbrella, and, let’s be honest, maybe a pair of waders, then head down to the Rocker’s Clubhouse for a 2:00 PM kickoff.
The weather might be miserable, but the rugby won’t be.
