Help shape the future of our Community Leagues! The City of Edmonton and EFCL are conducting a survey to understand which facilities, programs, and services matter most to League members. Whether you use the rink, attend local BBQs, or rent the hall, your feedback will guide decisions on the future. Complete the 10-minute survey between September 3 and September 20!

Community League Member & User Survey - Sept 2026 The City of Edmonton is conducting this survey with current Community League members, program participants and facility users to share their perspectives and inform recommendations for the future operating model of Community Leagues.

You swing the doors open at your local tavern and survey the place. You see a silent cloaked elf in the corner with a bow strapped to her back, her face hidden. A group of dwarves loudly begin a b***y cheer, well into their drinks. A halfling giggles while using a spectral hand to lift the cap of his friend's head. All while a well dressed Half-Orc bartender polishes a glass. He eyes you suspiciously as you enter... but breaks into a grin and welcomes you out of the cold....

Want to hear more how the story goes? Come be a part of it by joining our Dungeons and Dragons group run by a community league member at the hall. Every Wednesday's starting next week! All are welcome, no experience necessary.

Calling all Avonmore Cyclists!
Whether you ride the single tracks in the river valley, the roads out of town or are a casual commuter, our community needs you! We are entering in the community bike month challenge and we need each of you to help us compete for the prize!

Last year we cumulatively cycled 7539.97kms!! With only 16 people competing, with total distances of 30km-1600km each person played a part! It allowed us to win an award of most distance per person of a $400 gift card to United Cycle. The community members elected to donate the gift card to which provides sports and biking equipment to kids in families experiencing financial hardship.
Not only are we impressive in our distance, but we are also generous!

So What is Bike Month? From June 1 to June 30 various community
leagues across the city are competing for fun and glory.
We track our weekly distances and submit them to the me (Lindsay, Avonmore's Communications Director)
And what about the prizes this year? They are alittle different than in the past.
Each category allows us to collect tickets, where we will be entered into a draw as a whole community.
The categories are number of participants, and total number of kilometres.

Additionally there is an individual draw for the scavenger hunt. Visit specific locations, take pictures, and tag on social media, or send an email with the pictures to get entered into the draw. See more details on the scavenger hunt here:
https://efcl.org/bike-month-scavenger-hunt/

I'll be posting updates as we progress through the month!
So how can you join? If you are familiar with Strava, join our "Avonmore Cycles" club!
If you aren't familiar with Strava, send us a private
message or send an email to [email protected] and we will help you
get going.
