Congratulations to Dr. Jodi Abbott, on her induction into the Skate Canada: Alberta–NWT/Nunavut Hall of Fame this past weekend! 🎉⛸️

Jodi’s journey began on the ice in rural Alberta, and through decades of dedication and volunteer service, she rose to become a world and Olympic judge and referee officiating at two Olympic Games and numerous World Championships.

Her leadership extends far beyond the rink. She has served on the Skate Canada Board, the ISU Elections Committee, and the Officials Assessment Commission.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well‑deserved honor.

Congratulations Lynne Koper on winning the Section Coach Achievement Award!

Lynne has dedicated countless volunteer hours to improving our sport. She serves on the Alberta-NWT/Nunavut Board of Directors and on Skate Canada’s Coaches Committee, always giving her time with the best interests of the athletes and the skating community in mind. She has made a lasting contribution to the development of athletes, coaches, and programs within our club and across the Section.

Congratulation to Renata Wong for winning the Skate Canada National Volunteer Award!

Renata has been a committed volunteer within the skating community for many years and consistently goes above and beyond in every role she takes on. She has played a key leadership role in the delivery of several major events within Alberta and throughout Canada.

Congratulations to Ellen Tong for winning the Marilyn Chidlow Award.
The Marilyn Chidlow Volunteer Award recognizes the efforts of grassroots volunteers who work diligently to ensure club skating programs and skating family members are successful.
Ellen has been involved with skating for many years. She has played an integral role on our Ice Palace Sunsational Competition Committee, an active Executive Board member as well as always lends a hand throughout the season where needed.
