Edmonton Basketball Association We are Edmonton's largest adult recreational basketball league. Started in 1967, our league has expanded to over 130 teams.

We offer over 20 men's and women's divisions, as well as a masters over 35 league. All games are currently played at the Saville Community Sports Complex in South Edmonton. Our league runs all year round split into 3 separate seasons: Winter League (Sept-Mar), Spring (Apr-June) & Summer (July-Aug). We also run an annual basketball tournament in the fall in collaboration with the EYBA. The tournament offers 4 youth divisions & 6 adult divisions. We strive to continue to offer great recreational basketball for adults of all skill levels who love the great game of basketball for years to come.

🏀 MISSED THE AUGUST REGISTRATION DEADLINE?

You’re not too late! 👀

The Edmonton Basketball Association is opening late registration for the 2026-27 Regular Season + Playoffs!

Our seeding round is already underway, but there’s still an opportunity to get your team registered for the remainder of the season.

🏀 Season: November 2, 2026 – March 25, 2027
🏀 14 guaranteed Regular Season Games
🏀 3 guaranteed Playoff Games
🏀 Registration Fee: $2,994.00
🏀 Includes a $300 performance bond

📅 Registration Deadline: Friday, October 23, 2026

⚠️ Important: Due to gym availability, games will be scheduled on RANDOM days of the week. Teams registering late must be prepared to play on any day of the week.

Today, we celebrate the end of an era. ❤️🏀

For 51 incredible years, Connie Schwartz has been a cornerstone of the Edmonton Basketball Association.

Connie joined the EBA as Treasurer in 1975 and became Executive Director in 1983. What followed was more than four decades of dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to this league and the basketball community.

For so many of us, Connie has simply always been here.

She has answered the emails, solved the problems, balanced the budgets, coordinated the schedules, supported volunteers, helped teams, and worked countless evenings and weekends to make sure the league kept moving forward.

But her impact goes far beyond the work that happens behind the scenes.

Because of Connie, thousands of players have had the opportunity to compete, make lifelong friendships, stay active, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Her legacy isn’t found only in schedules, score sheets, or board meetings. It’s in the culture of the EBA, the people who have been part of it, and the community she helped build over more than five decades.

Today marks the end of an era, but it is certainly not the end of Connie’s legacy. Every season, every game, and every new player who steps onto the court will continue to build upon the foundation she helped create.

Thank you for your friendship.
And most importantly, thank you for 51 incredible years of service to the Edmonton Basketball Association.

No problem! Drop-in nights are open to anyone, even if you didn’t register ahead of time.

New to the EBA or looking for a team? 🙌 This is a great opportunity to get on the court, meet other players and connect with teams. You never know — you might find your new team!

🏀 CHECK IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE

An EBA Representative will be at every drop-in night at a table with an EBA sign. Please check in when you arrive, whether you registered ahead of time or are joining us for the first time.

Check-in helps us track attendance, skill levels and who is looking for a pickup game vs. solo shooting.

🏀 GOOD TO KNOW

Pickup is first-come, first-served. Join games as you arrive and leave whenever you need. We’ll help organize players by skill level, but everyone will need to help keep games moving.

Court assignments may change based on attendance to make sure we’re using the courts as effectively as possible.

Please respect the facility, courts and other players, and clean up after yourself before leaving. ♻️
