🌕️ Tonight is August's full "Sturgeon" moon. The word sturgeon means “stirrer” because they tend to spend their time at the bottom of the lake, stirring up the mud, looking for food. In August, they rise from the deep dark towards the surface.

As the full moon rises, we can often feel energy intensifying. For many of us this comes with rising emotions.

Anger is often the primary emotion that will signal to us when a boundary is being crossed. It’s important to acknowledge that signal to keep ourselves safe and intact emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Anger can be cold and hard, but compassion can be its close ally.

We might be surprised to discover that compassion and care can help us set and maintain appropriate boundaries. It’s understandable to think that all we need is a little meanness or nonchalance to keep us safe. Won’t compassion suck us back in to answering that phone call, picking up that messy room, or arguing with that uncle’s conspiracy theories?

Loneliness isn't always about being alone.
Sometimes it's the feeling of carrying everything by yourself.

Moments like this remind me why I create guided meditations. They aren't about "fixing" difficult emotions. They're about creating space to feel supported, grounded, and gently connected to yourself, even in the midst of loneliness.

Thank you, Glenda, for sharing your experience. 💛

The more time you spend with Tarot, the more you begin to notice patterns.
A symbol appears in one card... then another... then another.

Suddenly you realize the deck has been quietly telling a much bigger story all along.

The pillars are one of those recurring symbols. While there are many ways to interpret them, I've always been drawn to the idea that they represent thresholds — places where we're invited to leave behind one way of seeing and step into another. It's one of the many symbolic threads that inspired my new book, The Secret Tales of the Tarot, where I explore the myths and hidden stories woven throughout the deck.

Comes out November3rd!
