🏌🏼‍♀️Congratulations to our member Lois Henderson who received her first Hole-In-One last night at our last regular Wednesday Ladies League event!

⛳Lois Henderson - Hole #7 – August 5, 2026

Lois has been a long-time member in her 16th season here at Highlands and had this to say about her first ACE experience....

"It was a beautiful shot! My first hole-in-one! I lined up my 7 wood & thought, of Gina’s words: “Shoulder to my chin on the back swing and power through.” It landed at the front of the green and rolled straight into the hole. Karen Eastlake, Sam Castor, Betty Adams, and I watched in suspended silence, then erupted in cheers. People came running to see. It was a shot to remember!"

🏌🏼‍♀️This heat wave of 31 degree's did not slow down our member Shelly Bradford who received her first Hole-In-One on Friday!

Shelly has been a long time member for 32 years and had this to say about her first ACE experience....
"I didn't think it was going to be great shot, since my backswing was interrupted. We didn't see the ball drop in since the cup was located in the cool shade so I was pleasantly surprised to find the ball in the hole."
Golfing with Shelly were her weekly Friday Friends group of members Rob Lake, Lori and Brian Paush.

🏌Congratulations to Roshan Kalra, who received his 2nd Hole-In-One here at Highlands during last weeks Men’s League!

Roshan is in his 9th season here at the Club and had this to say about his exciting Tournament ACE...

"I was playing my Men’s League match with Steven Ewaskiw, against Michael McLay and Nate Halliwell from the shop. I hit a high draw to a flag that was tucked on the left side of the green. As soon as it landed, I figured it was close. Steve & Nate were more sure, saying “I think that might’ve gone in!”. None of us could see for sure, so I sprinted down the hole to see my ball mark less than a foot from the cup and no ball in sight past the cup. At that point, I was pretty sure that it went in too. Walked up to the cup to see my ball in there 😊. Pretty special to do it with all the boys there for Men’s League, and get a nice cheque out of it for being a prize hole!"

Nella is a newer member here at Highlands in her 3rd season and had this to say about her exciting Tournament ACE...
"It had turned out to be such a great day, I was playing with Phuong, our Pro and of course, my sister - Franca for Betty Stanhope-Cole and I knew I was having a career round heading up to the 12th tee box. We were backed up, as there were still a few groups waiting on 13. During that time I gave advice to our Pro to aim left for the hill and let it trickle towards the hole. Good luck charm, Mark Goodwin was there with Scott Kinsman and I told them they were about to witness 3 hole in ones in a row - I went up to the tee box with my Gap wedge and just over 100 yards and felt it pure off the face exactly where I wanted it off the left hill. There was another group ahead of us waiting on 13 who were watching too and all I can remember is Franca's voice tracking the ball saying it was looking really good and then the ball disappeared in the hole!
This will be my first hole in one at Highlands and the second in my life, but guaranteed the most memorable as I was 33 weeks pregnant at the time!
Shocked I didn't go into early labour with the celebration!"

Our Member Wendy Croft just received her first Hole-In-One today!

Wendy has been a Highlands member for 17 years and had this to say about her first ACE experience....
"I forgot my golf shoes today and had to buy new ones, so I am fully expecting to hear from New Balance to be their new spokesperson, stay tuned for my upcoming commercial".
Golfing with Wendy today were other members Glen Croft, Mark Wenger and Ralph Salisny.
