@occdragonboatclub made it all the way to the dock last night without having to get out and walk. We also had a few people try steering. I missed one as I was jumping into seats but everyone did a great job

Some memorable moments from the 2026 Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival! This year, OCC had two teams - OCC Velocity (Women’s) and OCC Vibes (Mixed)!

Thank you very much to the effort put in by the whole team, including our wonderful coach Tai, our steers Chris, Jenny & Ben, our drummers Lydia, Lisa & Ben, to our warm up crew Dominique & Tanis, and to the rest of the team for making this a fun-filled, hard-fought weekend! What an awesome way to end the festival season!

OCC Velocity won silver overall and OCC Vibes won bronze in consolation! Woohoo! 🙌

Shout-out to our members who supported us with race prep and to the festival organizers Edmonton Dragon Boat Festival for making this all possible!

Excessive rain, poor air quality due to smoke, the boats (and dock) getting swept away by the river current, to walking in the river because of low water levels, all in one season! 💀 So glad everybody still keeps showing up to practice and offering help when possible!
