On the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous communities across Canada. The Riverhawks are grateful to be able to work, play, and gather on the traditional lands of Treaty 6 Territory.
In past seasons, our players have proudly worn our Every Child Matters jerseys designed by Indigenous artist Jacob Alexis. This year, we were honoured to take another step forward, introducing our first‑ever Indigenous logo created by Conrad Plews, paired with jerseys and merchandise whose proceeds supported the vital community work of Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society which serves Indigenous children, youth, and families throughout the Edmonton area through culturally responsive programming and support.
We are appreciative of the guidance of Indigenous communities and Elders as we honour the past and walk forward with truth, respect, and understanding, and remain committed to supporting the journey toward reconciliation. 🧡
