First up is our Pr***en Ballet Winner from Edmonton Dance Factory with her beautiful performance of Secret Garden.

Congratulations on a well-deserved achievement. Your artistry, dedication, and hard work shone on the Myer Horowitz Theatre stage.

As we look back on the incredible talent showcased at this year's festival, we're already looking ahead to the next one.

From Classical Ballet to Character, Contemporary, Pointe, Repertoire, Solo Dance, and Improvisation dancers have the opportunity to challenge themselves, gain valuable feedback, and be recognized for their hard work.

Workshops - Vaganova Dance Society Vaganova Ballet workshop for dancers 8 yrs and up. Classes include: ballet technique, pointe, variations, and character dance.

But here’s the thing—dancers (and dance families) know better than anyone that the best moments on stage don’t happen last-minute. They’re planned, built, and looked forward to long before the curtain rises.

Each year, this festival has grown into something really special—bringing dancers together, creating space to perform, connect, and be part of something bigger than their own studio walls.

And while it might feel early… this is your gentle nudge to start thinking about it. Because the dancers who step onto that stage in 2027?
They’re already putting in the work now.

Introducing Irina Lerman — Our Ballet Summer Intensive Instructor!

Irina Lerman is an internationally acclaimed ballet artist, choreographer, and teacher. A Vaganova Ballet Academy graduate, she danced with the Mariinsky Ballet for seven years and has performed across Europe, Japan, China, the UAE, and the USA.

Her choreography has earned international recognition, including a Silver Medal in Riga, and her innovative work includes the critically acclaimed Neural Ballet, blending classical ballet with AI-generated visuals. She trained with Nederlands Dans Theater, Wayne McGregor, and Edward Clug, and performed at high-profile events like the 2014 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony and the 2019 Formula 1 Grand Prix.

From 2019, Irina was Leading Soloist with Atlantic Ballet of Canada, and now focuses on teaching, choreography, and independent projects — including launching her own ballet summer intensive in Toronto.
