This week at Golden Eagle School in Bigstone Cree Nation has been packed with energy and teamwork. Students rolled onto the court and have pushed hard through every drill. They’ve learned how skill, focus, and support shape wheelchair basketball. The excitement in the gym has made this whole week unforgettable!

Empowering youth through sport and inclusion.
The I.S.H.O.W: Wheelchair Basketball Experience team had the privilege of visiting kiskinahamākewin (Education Division/KEA) at Enoch Cree Nation, bringing energy, teamwork, and inspiration to the court.
From the first roll, students gave it their all—pushing hard, passing fast, and laughing loud. They discovered that wheelchair basketball isn’t just a game. It’s a lesson in resilience, connection, and understanding what true inclusion feels like.
This visit wasn’t only about basketball. It was about breaking barriers, building confidence, and celebrating community strength.
A heartfelt thank you to the students, educators, and Enoch Cree Nation for the warm welcome and for showing what inclusion in action looks like.

Honouring Indigenous Veterans
Today we honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis veterans who served with courage and pride through generations.
Their bravery helped protect the freedoms we share, even as many faced discrimination when they returned home. Their strength and sacrifice continue to inspire us.
iSHOW stands in gratitude and respect for every Indigenous veteran whose service and spirit will never be forgotten.

🏀 Inclusion. Energy. Connection.
On October 7, 2024, iSHOW rolled into St. Mary’s, and the Saints showed up strong! 💪✨ Students stepped into sport wheelchairs, learned the fundamentals, and experienced the challenge and excitement of wheelchair basketball firsthand.
Through the iSHOW: Indigenous Shooting Hoops on Wheels program, students gain more than athletic skills — they discover the power of inclusion, teamwork, and understanding.
Every smile, every spin, every moment captured reminds us why we do what we do. This is more than basketball — it’s inclusion in motion.
