A SATURDAY IN THE COMMUNITY.

This past Saturday, September 12, Brookside Court & Wellness was at XPlore Sport Day Central Sport at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer, introducing visitors to tennis and sharing a little of what Brookside is all about.

It’s always great to see local organizations getting people curious, active and trying something new.

Thanks to Maryse for sharing this moment with us!

The outdoor season brought Nicolas all the way to the U14 Fischer Junior Nationals in Quebec. Now that Nationals are over and the kids are heading back to school, we wanted to share one final recap from a pretty special summer.

From his mom, Maryse:

“Nicolas finished 28/40 at U14 nationals. He had some tough opponents from the start; including the U14 #1 player in Canada and the U12 Nationals champion.

We are so proud of him for making it to nationals U14 indoor and outdoor in his first year as U14. This is a great accomplishment especially when considering that he trained in gyms all winter.”

Congratulations, Nicolas!

Tournament Update!

Last weekend, Everett and Eli were both out gaining valuable tournament experience!

Everett played his very first tournament at Mega Courts in Calgary, competing in the U12 Rookie event. After some early butterflies, he found his rhythm and won all three matches!

Eli competed in his third tournament, a 2-Star event at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton. He didn’t get the wins this time, but enjoyed the challenge of playing against strong players and gaining more match experience.

Great job, Everett and Eli! Keep playing, learning and having fun!

Congratulations to Polina and Nicolas, who have been invited to represent Alberta at the Outdoor Nationals!

A major achievement, especially after training indoors throughout the winter!

Well done to both players, and thank you to coaches Rene Simon and Bruno (Simon Tennis School in Red Deer, Alberta) for helping them reach this milestone.

Let’s go, Brookside!
