A little change behind the scenes at Move
Hi friends!
After three years of pouring my heart, energy, and just about every waking hour into Move, I’m making a little change behind the scenes.
I’ve always wanted Move to feel personal, accessible, and welcoming — and I think I may have taken the “accessible” part a little too far. 😂
Over the past three years, I’ve become incredibly available to members. I’ve answered messages late at night, on weekends, between classes, on days off, and probably at times when I should have been doing absolutely anything else, like while in surgery recovery not once but twice this year!
And while I wouldn’t change the love and care I’ve poured into building Move, the reality is that this level of accessibility has come at a detriment to my own physical and mental well-being and just isn't sustainable.
So, after three years, I’m giving myself permission to step back a little.
I’ve hired a part-time Virtual Assistant to help with the behind-the-scenes day-to-day communication and admin at Move. This means I can spend more of my time doing the things that actually make Move Move — teaching, creating, connecting with you in the studio, and continuing to build a space I’m proud of.
What’s changing?
The biggest change you’ll notice is how we communicate.
Wix Chat: This will no longer be monitored as closely or as consistently as it has been.
Social media messages: Same goes for Instagram/Facebook DMs. I’ll still see them about once a day, but they won’t be the fastest or most reliable way to get someone.
The best ways to reach me:
[email protected]
902-414-9681 — calls & texts
Our email and phone will be monitored Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
And yes, there may be a little more of a delay outside of those hours. That’s intentional. ❤️🩹
I know that being able to message me directly and get an answer almost immediately has been part of the Move experience, and I also know that changing that may take a little getting used to.
But Move has grown. And for Move to continue growing — and for me to still be here years from now loving what I do — I need to make sure the way we operate is sustainable, too.
I am still very much here. I’m still very much teaching. I’m still dreaming up new classes, events, playlists and probably way too many other things at once.
I’m just learning that I don’t have to personally hold every single piece of Move, every minute of every day.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to build this little business into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
Three years in, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created together.
And I’m even more excited about what comes next.
