A huge thank you to Shawn Albrecht for making the trip out and sharing some knowledge last night.

We had an incredible evening of learning, drilling, and rolling. Shawn brought the attention to detail for top control and pressure while attacking the Kimura with various options.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community is a great place to be. The energy in the room was awesome, everyone left with something new to add to their game.

Especially , BIG Congratulations on receiving his Blue Belt. Progress in Jiu-Jitsu is often slow and hard to notice from the inside. Trust the process, keep showing up, and keep putting in the work. Sometimes the people around you can see your growth long before you can.

We’re excited to welcome Shawn Albrecht to Enderby Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for a Gi & No-Gi seminar on June 2, 2026.

A 3rd degree black belt and head of Frontline’s grappling program in Port Coquitlam, BC, Shawn brings over 20 years of martial arts experience, nearly 50 MMA bouts, and a strong competition background. A full-time paramedic who also trains first responders and law enforcement, he’s known for his practical, no-nonsense approach to teaching and developing high-level athletes.
