Today we celebrate the dads who do it all — from early morning practices and long meet days to hauling swim bags, setting up tent shades, and cheering the loudest from the pool deck.
Thank you for your endless support, encouragement, and dedication to your swimmers and our team. Your commitment helps make the Golden Eels family such a special place, and we truly couldn't do it without you!

Practices for the week!

SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND IN HUMBOLDT!!!

We had a strong showing at our first swim meet this past weekend! We sent 7 swimmers (2 boys, 5 girls) to the Humboldt Hammerheads Swim Meet, Sunday June 14th. This was the first North Region meet the club has attended in quite some time. 204 total swimmers were entered from 13 different clubs around the province.

31/35 RACES WERE FINISHED WITH PERSONAL BESTS AND WE HAD ZERO DISQUALIFICATIONS AS A CLUB!

On top of all of that success, Remi (7-8 age category) finished 1st overall and Keomi (9-10 age category) finished 2nd overall in their respective categories! 🥇🥈

The boys scored 35 points which placed the team 6th out of 13 despite only entering 2 swimmers. 10/10 races were personal best times.

The girls scored 73 points which placed the team 4th out of 13 while only entering 5 swimmers! 21/25 races were personal best times! They also placed Top 5 in both relays!

Great work swimmers, and a huge thanks to the families for travelling the 4.25hrs North to Humboldt! We had a blast!

Next Meet: Sat. June 27th in Saskatoon!

This week's practice schedule. Reminder this Sunday (June 14th) we will be attending our first swim meet of the season in Humboldt!

Thank you so much to all who volunteered to help make our mini meet run smoothly! We can do all the planning in the world, but without the hands on help from you we'd be unable to put it on in the capacity we did last night!

We hope the experience helped you learn more about officiating a swim meet and gain an appreciation for all who work them. We are always looking for volunteers to help run our Golden Eels Swim Meet July 11th. If that's something you are able to do please reach out to us if you haven't already and we will happily find a role for you!

(Reminder practice tonight June 5th is from 4-5pm. Juniors and Seniors welcome to join us for an introduction to relays practice!)

Practice tonight will be out annual Mini Meet!

This is a mock meet designed to mimic what an actual meet will look and feel like. We like to use this as an introduction to swim meets for new swimmers, as well as a refresher/excitement builder for all the swimmers!

To help with this PARENTS/GUARDIANS please consider volunteering to help run our mini meet. Events like this are not able to happen without you and it's a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience on what volunteering at a swim meets. If you haven't already check the WhatsApp chat to sign up, or talk with one of our board members tonight at practice and they'll help find you a spot to help with!

For our swimmers, nothing extra is needed, just make sure they have their suits, goggles, and caps like any other practice!
