A big congratulations to Caleb Knip on being named one of six winners of a $5,000 post-secondary bursary from Dairy Farmers of Ontario!

The recipients were students who made a meaningful impact in their schools and communities, while also being recognized as top players and volunteers within the OMHA.

They winners were selected from the 2025-26 minor hockey season and are set to attend university beginning in September.

The Dairy Farmers of Ontario Bursary program provides minor hockey players recognition for their outstanding contribution to community service, athletic and academic success. Applications for 2027 Bursary Program will be announced early next season.

“At Dairy Farmers of Ontario, we are honoured to celebrate students who demonstrate exceptional commitment in the classroom, on the ice and within their communities,” said Cheryl Smith, chief executive officer at Dairy Farmers of Ontario. “This bursary recognizes not only academic achievement and athletic dedication, but also the leadership and character these young individuals bring to everything they do. We’re proud to support their continued success as they take the next step in their education.”

“This year's recipients of the OMHA-Dairy Farmers of Ontario Bursary Program are examples of what it takes to succeed as a student-athlete. They are leaders in their communities, classrooms and on the ice with their hockey teams, making their schools, arenas, towns and cities better places for all,” said Ian Taylor, Executive Director of the OMHA. “The winners showcase the values and life skills that minor hockey instills in its participants. Best of luck to them in their post-secondary education next year.”
