Sturgeon Point Golf Club is a historic 9-hole, full-service, lakeside course in the heart of the Kaw

Sturgeon Point Golf Club is a unique, full-service, 9-hole golf facility in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes, on the picturesque shores of Sturgeon Lake. Established in 1899, this public course includes a fully-licensed clubhouse, driving range, putting and chipping greens. This challenging yet accessible course is managed by Class "A" PGA of Canada Professional Mike Gascho, who offers junior clinics, men's and women's clinics and private lessons. This historic course should not be missed by any and all golf enthusiasts visiting the Kawartha Lakes.

Teams can now be member and guest, or member and member, so there is no excuse left for sitting this one out.

Saturday, July 11th, a two-person scramble with a 2:00 PM shotgun start, followed by snacks and drinks on the course, dinner between 5:30 and 6:00 PM, a silent auction, and music from DJ Paul Wilson. Cost is $225 per team, payable by July 6th. New this week, a $50 dinner-only option gets you steak or chicken and a seat at the after party with no golf required.

The long weekend forecast is in: blue skies, the lake doing its glassy thing, and a slow-smoked brisket sandwich with your name on it.

The kitchen is rolling out a brisket sandwich as this weekend's feature, best enjoyed on the patio with the water stretched out in front of you. Pair it with a cold one and call it a victory lap.

Members Season Opening Scramble is Saturday!

Quick rundown for everyone playing:

2:30 PM shotgun — please be at the Club by 2:00 PM for your hole assignment
Dress warm. It's cool out there. Layers, toques, the works.
Beat the pro on hole 5 (there's a prize on the line)
Stick around after for a burger or hot dog off the grill

It's all in good fun, but bragging rights last a full year!

We're back.

The course is open as of Friday, April 17th. The greens are rolling, the pro shop is freshly stocked, and the only thing missing is you (and possibly your short game — we'll workshop it).
