Lookout Point is a private 18 hole golf course designed by Walter J. Completed in 1922, Lookout Point is considered one of Travis' finest and most challenging accomplishments. Today it is consistently ranked among the Top 100 Courses in Canada by SCORE magazine. In 2005, Lookout Point completely rebuilt the clubhouse that sits atop the Niagara Escarpment, providing unmatched views of the golf course, surrounding Niagara countryside and the Niagara Falls skyline from its lounge, dining rooms and patio. Centrally located in the Niagara Peninsula in the small town of Fonthill, Lookout Point is not too far from anywhere in the Golden Horseshoe.

👻... looks like our neighbourhood ghosts are back for another year. Apparently, they couldn’t resist sneaking in a quick round before heading off for their Halloween duties. After all, even ghosts need a little time off.

Finding their golf balls proved to be a challenge, and let’s just say things went a little off course from there...

Some creative routing gave everyone a chance to play the course a little differently today, with unusual shots and a few perspectives we don’t often get to see.

🤝... two days of competition and a wonderful tradition shared between two teams.

Congratulations to Team Upstate New York on winning the 2026 Ada Mackenzie Matches by a score of 14–6, and to all of the players from Team Ontario and Team Upstate New York who joined us over the past two days.

It was a privilege to host this longstanding event and welcome such a great group of competitors here, to Lookout Point.

🏆... day one of the Ada Mackenzie Matches is underway.

Dating back to 1960, the annual matches bring together some of the top senior women amateur golfers from Ontario and Upper New York State for two days of team competition.

There’s also a special connection to our own history. In 1951, a 17-year-old Marlene Stewart, representing Lookout Point, defeated Ada Mackenzie in the semifinal of the Ontario Ladies’ Championship, an early chapter in what would become one of the great careers in amateur golf.

75 years later, it’s especially fitting to welcome both teams to Lookout Point for the matches bearing Ada’s name.
