WJHDG is all set up ready for Falcon’s Flight this weekend! 🤠

Getting ready to head over to the volunteer meeting in a few minutes.

𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙐𝙨𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement has advised of a cougar frequenting an area of Diamond Valley near the Field of Dreams Baseball Diamond and Disc Golf Course.

Warning signs are being placed in the area to help increase public awareness.

If you are using the area:

● Keep children and pets close and stay together.
● Remain alert and be aware of your surroundings.
● Do not approach a cougar if encountered.
● Do not run or turn your back. Stay calm, make yourself look large and back away slowly.
● Keep dogs leashed and under control.

Cougar sightings or encounters can be reported to Alberta Fish and Wildlife through the 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔 𝗣𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝟭-𝟴𝟬𝟬-𝟲𝟰𝟮-𝟯𝟴𝟬𝟬.

Residents can continue to use the area, but are asked to 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, particularly with children and pets.

A great day for MVP Circuit Challenge at WJ Homestead, weather was awesome as were the participants and organizers! Thank you to all those who came out to test out some new plastic!

A few WJ members brought home an Egg from Lost Egg this weekend; must be all the practice on holes 3 and 4!!

WJHDG August Update:

* August 1 our half season memberships will be on sale, for the wanna-be member again, and guests who keep on coming back!
* I will be hunting dinosaur eggs over the August long weekend so the Bunkhouse pro-shop will not be open.
* WJ will not be taking any public bookings over the August long weekend; member bookings only.
* August 8: is NADGT Canada Premier: WJ Homestead Supported by Innova event; course will be closed, tournament play only. There is still space available to sign up if you want to get a couple of rounds in.
* August 9: MVP Circuit Challenge at WJ Homestead event for the 3rd year, course will be closed for tournament play only.
* Looking to share the disc golf experience; book your fall team building session at WJHDG.
