Today at the NOMA Board of Directors meeting, we took a moment to recognize and thank Councillor Wendy Brunetta of Fort Frances for her years of dedicated service representing the Rainy River District Municipal Association on the NOMA Board.

Wendy has been a passionate advocate for Northwestern Ontario, bringing a strong municipal perspective, thoughtful leadership, and a steadfast commitment to the communities she serves. Her contributions have helped strengthen NOMA’s advocacy efforts and ensure the voices of municipalities across the Rainy River District and Northwestern Ontario are heard.

On behalf of the NOMA Board, member municipalities, and municipal leaders across the region, thank you, Wendy, for your dedication, service, and leadership. Your impact on NOMA and Northwestern Ontario will be felt for years to come.

We wish you all the best and look forward to seeing the continued contributions you will make to your community and our region.

We have WINNERS! Huge thanks to everyone who supported Junior Curling and the Curl Fort Frances Community Centre with our annual fundraiser. You made a difference. A shout out to Barb Roy and her many volunteers who sold tickets in the community. We can't forget the many who made the 2025-26 Curling Season the success it was! See you in October!
