🎃 THE RESULTS ARE IN…WE’RE DOING POTTERY! 🏺

I asked whether you’d rather have a Halloween pottery night closer to Halloween OR do it early enough to have your finished pieces back in time to decorate…

And you overwhelmingly chose EARLY! 👻🎃

So great news!! Halloween Pottery Night is officially coming to The Dancery! On Wednesday, September 23rd 🤗

You’ll create your piece with Sarah from Finding Balance Pottery & Wellness, then she’ll take everything back to be fired and glazed so your finished Halloween decor is ready to enjoy for the season 🖤

🎟️ Tickets will be available on The Dancery website by tomorrow morning!

Spaces are limited and I have a feeling this one is going to fill up FAST 👀

Doors will open at 7pm for time to socialize and to grab a drink if you’d like! The bar will be open for this event 🥂

The event will start at 7:30pm 😍

When I saw friends sharing their posts yesterday (or maybe the day before…it’s been a crazy week lol), I clicked on the Community Votes link to check out the winners.

When I saw that The Dancery and my Dance Fitness classes won in multiple categories, I was surprised, thankful, grateful…and so many more emotions all mixed together lol.

We had our official ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce and became a licensed facility with AGLC in October of 2024. We had our first wedding in October of 2025. To see The Dancery win Platinum for Wedding Venues in Fort McMurray less than a year later is something I wouldn’t have ever imagined. I can’t even find the words to express how grateful I am!

And Gold for Events? 🙏 I started planning my own events back in 2011. I’ve been involved in other peoples events for as long as I can remember and it just became somthing I loved. Having the space to be creative and able to make my imagination come to life is amazing and I’m so happy that others are enjoying their time at events at The Dancery too! 🤗

And Silver and Bronze for Dance, Fitness Center and Personal Trainer means more than I’d ever be able to explain. I was the first Zumba instructor here in 2009. I started instructing by complete accident. The first class I ever instructed was actually the very first class I ever walked into. Dance or fitness lol. It was a crazy decision but one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Since then, I’ve completed so many different Zumba trainings and went to Vegas to become the 2nd Canadian VXN instructor in 2017. I’ve instructed so many classes over the years and it is my absolute biggest passion. I’ve rented out just about every school gym and studio space in town over the years.

In 2021, I decided it was finally time to create my own fitness class, DRIP Dance Fitness, which is the class I instruct at The Dancery ❤️ To see my name up there for the class that I created myself is something I’m really proud of.

Anyway, thank you so much to everyone that took the time to vote for me (and read this post that I meant to be much shorter lol)
