We have lots of amazing people to recognize for their hard work - starting with these three lovely ladies!
First up, Shayla - a long time studio goer having first visited us in 2017! Since the start of this year she's made it to 75 classes helping her crest 100 total classes so far - but not without her own challenges. Luckily, she's pivoted to make the studio work for her - and her current needs.
Here's what she had to say on her recent goal:
"This milestone means so much to me for several reasons! I first started coming to oxygen to find my passion for fitness after having an emergency back surgery last November. I had always been a gym lover, but lost my groove after that initial setback. I found myself in a rut and was scared to challenge myself. I had always been a punch pass go-er but I chose to commit to a membership and found myself in the studio several times a week! I loved the high energy classes like sculpt it or O2 pump which always left me feeling amazing. I was on track to hit my 100 class milestone in the spring when my back had another plan for me. I had to have my second back surgery in less than a year. Since then, I’ve found a new appreciation and respect for where I am at and have learned to listen to my body. Now I gravitate towards mat Pilates classes and just feel so thankful I’m able to move my body and acknowledge where I’m at. For now, my fitness journey looks slightly different as old me would’ve pushed the boundaries, while new me respects where I am at:)"
Next is Rajani who is a steady, strong presence at the studio. Her first visit was also back in 2017 before work took her out of her routine. Since returning she's been enjoying the best of the yoga and fitness classes!
In her own words, Oxygen in like an addiction! I like the group classes, can feel the energy… lovely instructors, perfect balance of yoga, Pilates, strength, weight. I feel good after each class! Also, like the challenges put up once in a while….great way to motivate people!
And then we have Ashlee - who has found her home away from home! Read her story in the comments!
