A garage where men rebuild before they ride back into the world. Honest conversations. Faith in Jesus Christ. Motorcycles, trucks, and family.

One honest conversation can change the direction of a man's life. www.daditudepowersports.com

We're Communicating More. Are We Connecting Less?

Communication is everywhere. Connection is different.

There's a habit many of us have developed without realizing it:

Listening long enough to formulate our response instead of listening long enough to understand the person speaking.

Someone shares something & we search our own experiences for a similar story.

Then the conversation becomes ours.

Daditude was built around a different idea.

Conversation doesn't need to immediately produce advice.

It doesn't need a curriculum, It doesn't need somebody positioned as the person with all the answers its value comes from two people being present enough to discover what's underneath the surface.

Authenticity.

Truth.

Curiosity.

Essence in conversation.

That's what we're trying to cultivate in the Garage.

The garage is the environment.
The conversation is the catalyst.
The individual chooses the repair.

Why Daditude Is a Garage....

The garage isn't branding, it's memory.
I grew up watching men gather around trucks, motorcycles, tools and broken machines. They came together to repair something tangible.

While their hands were occupied, something else happened.

They talked, they laughed, they told stories, they shared problems, they carried scars and sometimes, without ever calling it healing, they walked out a little different than they walked in.

Years later, I realized those childhood memories contained part of the architecture for Daditude.

We don't use power sports because motorcycles are the mission.

They're tools, & they create common ground.
The garage creates the environment and conversation creates an opportunity for something deeper to happen.

The garage is the environment.
The conversation is the catalyst.
The individual chooses the repair.

Moving Forward Requires Understanding Of What Came Before.
Childhood isn't an excuse for adulthood but it can provide context.

Long before careers, relationships, titles and responsibilities, we began forming beliefs about ourselves, other people and the world around us.

Some served us well, some didn't.
Some may still be operating decades later without us recognizing them.
That's why part of repair involves examination.

Never mind: "Who can I blame for who I became?"

Rather: "What am I carrying?", "Where did I learn it?", "Does it still belong?"
"What happens next is my responsibility."

That's a very different conversation.

And it's one we're willing to have in the garage.

Not Every Bridge Should Be Burned...

"Burn the bridge."

It sounds decisive but irreversible decisions deserve more than motivational slogans.

In 2022, I walked away from the trucking industry after spending years building my livelihood and identity inside it. That decision became part of a much larger examination of identity.

Who am I without the career? What am I actually leaving behind? What am I moving toward?

Was this courage, conviction, fear, pride or ego making the decision?

Those questions matter in careers, relationships, businesses and life transitions.

Some bridges should be repaired, some should be crossed, & some should be left behind.

The difficult work is developing enough discernment to recognize the difference, that's the kind of conversation we have in the garage.

Trust Is Operating Even When We're Not Thinking About It. It isn't limited to our closest relationships. It quietly influences countless decisions we make throughout an ordinary day.

We trust people, systems, processes, our judgment, our environment.

Most of the time, we barely notice it, until trust is broken.

Then something that once operated quietly in the background can begin influencing how we interpret relationships, opportunities, decisions, and risk.
That's why conversations about trust matter inside the garage.

Not simply because someone betrayed us, because understanding how we respond afterward may tell us something about what still needs repair.

Breaking the Cycle Doesn't Mean Rejecting Everything Behind You.

Daditude exists because I had daddy issues.
That's uncomfortable to say publicly, but it's also part of the truth behind this company.

For years, I carried resentment toward my father. Age, fatherhood, and perspective have complicated that story.
I've learned that repairing what came before us isn't necessarily about assigning blame.

It's about examining what we inherited. Some things deserve to continue.
Some need to be understood. Some need to stop with us.

Fatherhood gave me a choice:

Repeat what I knew or intentionally build what I didn't. I chose to build.
That's what I mean by Family Man 2.0. Keep the wisdom. Repair the damage.

Build something better for the next generation.

The Words We Give Children Can Become the Words They Give Themselves!

There's a significant difference between telling a child:

"You don't know what you're thinking." and asking:

"Why do you think that?"

One shuts down the conversation, and the other develops discernment.

In this Garage Talk clip, I trace part of my struggle with self-trust back to a seemingly simple childhood interaction.

This isn't about blaming our parents for everything that happens afterward.

It's about understanding where a pattern began so we can decide whether it should continue.

That's repair.

Not rewriting the past.

Examining what we're still carrying from it.

Success Is Bigger Than What You Own.

Money can measure income. A title can measure position. Possessions can show what you've acquired. None of them can tell us whether a life is actually aligned.

At Daditude, we're interested in a different conversation about success.
Integrity. Responsibility. Relationships. Service. Purpose. Faith. Presence.

Not rejecting material success, putting it in its proper place because the garage was never about collecting machines.

The machines are tools. The conversation goes much deeper.

What If Trust Doesn't Start With Them?

We usually talk about trust as something other people have to earn.
There's another side to it. Can you trust yourself enough to recognize what someone has already shown you?

In this clip from Garage Talks, I unpack a philosophy from DMX that profoundly influenced the way I think about trust, intuition, discernment, and the damage that can happen when a child repeatedly learns to question what they're seeing and feeling.

The goal isn't to become suspicious of everyone. It's to stop wasting your life demanding that people become somebody they haven't shown themselves to be.

See people clearly. Accept what you see. Respond wisely.

The Machines Were Never Really the Story.
For most of my life, motorcycles represented freedom.

Looking back, they were also where I went when I didn't know how to deal with what was happening around me.

As a kid, when home became uncomfortable, I rode.

I had things. Food. Clothes. Motorcycles.
What I didn't always have enough of was love, attention, and presence.

Years later, I bought a beat-up Banshee that needed repair.
At the time, it was just another machine.

I couldn't see yet how repairing that machine would become part of a much bigger story about repairing what was broken in my own life.

That's why power sports have a place inside Daditude.
They're tools, not the destination.

The garage is the environment.
The conversation is the catalyst.
The individual chooses the repair.
