Fredericton Royals Baseball Association Unites Minor, Junior, and Senior Programs Under One Banner

Fredericton, NB – The Fredericton Royals Baseball Association is thrilled to announce the official unification of its Minor, Junior, and Senior Royals programs into a single, cohesive organization. This exciting merger marks a new era for baseball in Fredericton, creating a streamlined and unified approach to player development, community engagement, and organizational growth.

"Bringing all three levels of our program together under one umbrella allows us to build a stronger foundation for baseball in our city," said Jody Peterson, President of the Fredericton Royals Baseball Association. "This move strengthens our ability to develop players from their earliest years through to the highest levels of competition, while also providing a more connected and engaging experience for players, families, and fans."

As part of this transition, the Fredericton Royals Baseball Association will now operate under a single digital presence. Moving forward, all updates, announcements, and community engagement will take place on our newly unified social media page, which will be renamed "Fredericton Royals Baseball" and launched March 1st. This will serve as the official hub for all Minor, Junior, and Senior Royals news, events, and updates.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that our brand-new website, www.frederictonroyals.ca, will officially launch on March 1st as well. This website will serve as a central resource for schedules, registration, team updates, sponsorship opportunities, and everything related to Fredericton Royals Baseball.

We thank our players, coaches, volunteers, and the entire Fredericton baseball community for their continued support. The future is bright for Royals Baseball, and we look forward to growing the game together under this united banner.

We are thrilled to announce that Jody Peterson has stepped up to fulfill a long-held dream of strategically planning for both of our senior and junior teams. This strategic move will allow management to effectively oversee both teams, with dedicated coaches currently being appointed. The junior team will now be more affiliated with the senior team, a vision that was championed by our terribly missed friend, Chris “Bubba” MacPherson.

Jody brings a deep commitment to the Royals program across all levels and his passion and long term goals for helping others succeed is unmatchable. We can't wait to see how this collaboration will elevate our teams.

Mark your calendars! Early in the new year, we will hold a meeting to unveil the new executive, managers, and coaches for both teams.

As we close out another season for the Fredericton Senior Royals, we want to take a moment to reflect on what made this year so special.

Thank you to our incredible fan base! Your support throughout the season, especially during the playoffs, was nothing short of amazing. We couldn’t have done it without you cheering 📣 us on!

A huge shoutout to our dedicated volunteers who made everything possible: from 50-50 draws, managing the press box, welcoming everyone at the front gate, to our fantastic canteen workers, Troy and Marie. Your hard work and commitment was the best ever. 💯

We also want to extend gratitude to our coaches, Derek Wilson and Kirk Cornell. They, along with their families , have generously volunteered their time over the past three years. They brought senior baseball back to Fredericton after covid and for that the players and fans will be forever grateful. It was not an easy task and we all want to say “Thank You”. We appreciate and understand your choices to move on to new adventures we will promise to keep Senior Ball moving forward. 😊⚾️
