We are currently looking for one or two 16U/17U Boys teams to fill the final spots in our Spartans Beach Volleyball League this summer!

Provincial Stream | SVC Provincial Stream is an add-on to the League Stream and will follow the same game schedule as the League Stream with additional coaching. Athletes in the Provincial Stream will be assigned a coach for the summer. The coach will lead practices and provide coaching support at VNB Provincials.

The 14UG Spartans Apex team competed in the 56 team National tournament in Moncton this past weekend. The girls had a great first day, going 3-0 in matches, but still putting us in a tough power pool on day 2 with Leaside (Ont2) and our friendly provincial rivals in MadVic and Cyclones Arctic. We lost a tough one to MadVic in 3, then beat Arctic 2-0 and then lost another battle in 3 to Leaside, putting us into 6th overall in Division 1 going into the Sunday quarterfinals. This matched us up with Humana Heat (Ont1). The team battled hard, but could not come out on top, losing 2 straight. Our girls came 5th overall out of 56, which is still an amazing finish by one of the only teams that rolls with 12 players every match and with every player contributing on the court. There were lots of tears at the end — not for losing the game, but the fact that this magical season has finally come to an end when we don’t want it to. 11 tournaments, 7 gold medals, 2 silver and a bronze — a season we’ll always remember for not only its success on the court, but on great friendships made and truly amazing player growth. Thanks to our players and our parents on what has been an amazing 9 months together!

14U Phoenix are returning from Nationals with their heads high and their hearts full. Despite a slow start to the tournament (1-2 on Day 1), they rebounded with some great competition on Day 2 (2-1).

They entered the Tier 2 Quarter Finals vs. Club de Volleyball Dynamite Péninsule Acadienne in a rematch from Provincials. Phoenix then faced Synergy in a 3 Set Thriller.

Despite losing 16-14 in the 3rd set, Phoenix left it all on the court and showed true leadership. The most amazing part was having numerous teams from across various Provinces cheering on these girls. Your coaches are beyond proud of you on your successful season.

It’s a big weekend in Moncton as 14UF Apex & Phoenix, and 14UM Apex each head down to compete at Nationals. Best of luck to both teams - work hard, have fun, and leave it all on the court!
