🥈 Congratulations to Hilary Pond on an incredible performance at the 2026 Pan American Karate Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!

Representing Team Canada, Hilary earned a Silver Medal in Female Kumite -68 kg, standing on the international podium.

This outstanding achievement is a testament to Hilary's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence both on and off the tatami. We are incredibly proud to see a Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick athlete competing at this level and representing our province and country so well.

As Day #3 comes to a close, so does the incredible 2026 Karate Canada Junior National Championships! 🇨🇦🥋

Karate New Brunswick finished the championships with another gold medal performance!

Congratulations to Oliver Bavis, Kaeden Ryan, and Will Smith on earning gold in Team Kata and becoming Junior National Champions! 🥇👏🔥

From the opening day of competition to the final matches, Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick delivered unforgettable moments, strong performances, and incredible teamwork while in Edmonton. The growth, determination, and support shown both on and off the tatamis made this a championship to remember.

Day #2 brought more incredible results for Karate New / Nouveau Brunswick at the Karate Canada Junior National Championships! 🇨🇦🥋

Congratulations to:

🥈 Olivya Kanashiro on earning a silver medal in kumite after an outstanding performance on the national stage.

🥇 Laila Ismail on becoming the 2026 Junior National Champion in her kumite division and bringing home gold for Karate New Brunswick!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, determination, and hard work being shown by all of our athletes throughout the championships. Congratulations as well to the coaches, teammates, and supporters who continue to cheer them on every step of the way. 👏🔥

As we head into the final day of competition tomorrow, we wish all of our athletes the very best on Day #3!
