They have all completed their 700-hour Comprehensive Program, trained by Cara Hazelton, owner of APC and Precision Pilates. This level of training reflects a deep commitment to quality, precision, and truly understanding the Pilates method.

What makes this even more special? Every single instructor at Precision Pilates is trained to this same 700-hour minimum standard — but most have over 1000 hours by the time they graduate! This is what sets us apart as the only studio in Atlantic Canada offering this level of comprehensive teacher training. 🤩

✨ Meet Cara Hazelton ✨

Founder of Authentic Pilates Canada, LEAD Pilates Education, and owner of Precision Pilates Studios, Cara Hazelton is a 3rd generation Classical Pilates teacher with over 20 years of experience and more than 25,000 hours of teaching under her belt.

She holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and is the only Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) in Atlantic Canada — bridging Classical Pilates tradition with modern movement science.

Cara trained under 2nd generation teacher Clare Dunphy in the mid 2000’s and was mentored by Jay Grimes, who studied directly with Joseph Pilates himself.

Cara’s mission? To preserve the integrity of the original Method while supporting the next generation of thoughtful, knowledgeable teachers.

Whether you’re new to Pilates or exploring teacher training, you’re learning from one of the most respected educators in the field.

Congrats to Breagh (right) on completing her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training! Some 700 plus hours of study, learning ALL of the Apparatus the Joe Pilates invented. Breagh is only the 4th classically comprehensively trained Pilates teacher in Nova Scotia - the others all at !
